Job Summary:
As a member of the Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for researching equipment drawings and manuals to develop Material Request Forms (MRFs). As the intern, you will be tasked with obtaining vendor quotes to create designated numbers in the plant’s SAP system, a software that organizes the plant’s Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and understand equipment drawings.
- Knowledge on interpreting Bill of Materials (BOM) to create detailed parts lists.
- Knowledge about 3D CAD software, (preferably Autodesk Products).
- Communication skills.
- Able to manage your own time and prioritize tasks.
- Self-starter, willing to take initiative to solve problems.
- Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn.
- Computer skills.
- Knowledge about Technical Report writing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to successfully research and cross reference information on the internet.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Maintenance Planners, Maintenance Coordinators, and others to prioritize work activities.
- Search Plant Equipment files to find spare parts listings to find undocumented parts.
- Review findings with Sr. Planner and help to develop lists of needed Components in SAP.
- Communicate with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain quotes for equipment.
- Conduct field walks on the plant to both help with equipment field verification of parts.
- Utilize vendor quotes to create MRFs to assist in the Creation of new SAP components.
- Assist other members of the Maintenance Team by completing MRFs given quotes or equipment information.
